Leiston Football Club
Leiston Town Football Club contacted us with concerns regarding the grass in their dug-out areas. As you can imagine, these types of areas are in constant use. Usually at the worst times of the English year too!
As the football season is during autumn and winter months, the dug outs have constant footfall from players, linesmen, managers and referees. This resulted in muddy, dirty and rather shabby areas. The grass simply never got a chance to recover or have the opportunity to be re-seeded or tended.
Woodbridge Gym
The owner of a new gym in Woodbridge wanted to create a space which brought the outside in! As a modern space designed to help people keep fit, the owner wanted a quirky design to help inspire, even when the going gets tough!
Natural green areas are far more attractive than large concrete environments. However real grass inside such a place was not an option, due to costly maintenance considerations.
To accommodate heavy machinery and large footfall we installed two types of grass. A short pile suitable for the heavy weights section and a longer pile grass for floor work.
We placed shock pads under all areas to take the pressure off human joints and bones, and to protect the floor from weights being accidentally dropped and potentially damaging the floor beneath. We even “carpeted” the stairs with artificial grass!
The end result: a fresh, fun but practical long term solution to a previously uninspiring environment!
